PASTICADA COOKING CLASS FROM SPLIT CROATIA-THE MOST SIGNIFICANT DALMATIAN DISH
Just like you will eat Turkey for Thanksgiving dinner in the USA, you will eat Pasticada on Christmas, weddings and special occasions in Dalmatia. This dish is the ultimate Dalmatian pleasure. In a region full of fresh seafood, signature dish is a slow cooked, marinated beef served with freshly made gnocchi and delicious red wines from the area. We will get you to pick the vegetables, cut the beef, simmer and cook it, get your hands in the dough for some wonderful gnocchi and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Each house has a secret recipe of its own so we will take you to a small village outside Split where our host makes her magic happen, and while the beef is slowly stewing, we will take a tour of her husbands wine cellar and vineyard to learn about Dalmatian wine.
